Nyah - 6 months

*she started crawling on Dec 22nd, 2010*
*now that she's crawling she's into everything*
*she's very curious and determined*
*she loves fruit, especially bananas*
*she started sitting up...after she started crawling*
*when Ty walks into the room she looks expectantly at him, waiting for him to entertain her somehow (and he never disappoints)*
*when people talk to her and smile at her, she puts her head down to the left side. it's pretty funny and my dad could get her to do it over and over. (she's been doing this for a while I just forgot to write it)*
*she takes awesome naps when she has the opportunity (which means when the kids are out of school and I don't have to drive all day long)*
*she loves both Laney and Ty and could just watch and play with them all day long*
*she has started giving us kisses. she just suddenly attacks our faces and slobbers on them for a while. it's pretty cute and very wet*
*she likes to burrow into us and then wiggles for a while*
*she's still our smiley, happy, very wiggly baby*
I had to add this picture because I couldn't get her to sit still anymore she really wanted to get the camera strap that was dangling and tempting her.

Last Christmas on Hessenring 6

We went up to my mom and dad's house for Christmas. We came on the evening of the 23rd, as did the Cullingfords. The next day we decorated the Christmas tree....my dad and the kids decorated the Christmas even though he kept trying to get me to help. hahaha Oh and Quentin was the designated 'child lifter' it looks like.
 Quentin lifting up Erin
Ty adding some decorations to the tree.
...and Joshy setting his mark on the tree.
The girls listening to Erin's MP3 player.
Cute Liam waving to his favorite auntie! Ü
Our family is growing so we now don't all fit around just one table. We had to put up another table and Zak and my dad still had to squish on the end....they look like they were having a good time though.
Nyah all gussied up for Christmas.
The boys favorite pastime....playing on the DS or one of the iPods or iPhones.
Gorgeous Eri-Berry playing with beautiful Nyah
So before Christmas Wendy asked me what our kids wanted to Christmas. I asked the kids and reminded them that Wendy is really awesome at making things and sewing. I told Ty maybe he could wish for a superhero cape or something like that. He thought about it and told me several things and the last thing he said was that he wanted a mole costume and a hole. Well, guess what awesome Aunt Wendy made for Ty for Christmas?! A mole costume and a hole. hahahaha it's awesome!!! We love it. I might wish for one next Christmas. There are even worms and snails in the hole....and I hear Joshy was part of the creation of the  hole.
After Christmas some of us went sledding. I didn't go 'cause Nyah was sleeping but I loved seeing all the pictures and it looked like everybody had a really good time. Here's Erin making a snow angel.
Morfar, Zak and Mormor directing the fun.
Laney and Ty crawling up the hill.
 Morfar trying out the sled.
Zak squishing his long legs into the sled to try it out.
 And Ty zooming down.
Laney told me that she was burying Erin in the snow 'cause Erin told her she was sweaty. hahaha
After Christmas Wendy, Quentin and little Liam jetted off to England to celebrate their 10 year wedding anniversary. While they were gone the rest of us were treated to a concert featuring Laney on the piano, Erin and Joshy on recorders and Ty playing the maracas. They were also some singing and a little dancing. Everybody got tickets to the show and when we arrived there were of course assigned seating. Nyah was seated next to Morfar. They had a good little chat.
The concert was such a success that it was repeated when the missing Cullingfords came back from England.

Between Christmas and New Year's we didn't take a lot of pictures because the night that Wendy, Quentin and Liam left Erin got sick. She was laying on the couch watching TV, running to the bathroom occasionally, when Ty woke up and told me his belly hurt. At this point Ben was upstairs not feeling good and running to that bathroom. Suddenly Ty was throwing up too. So he joined Erin in the living room. Next Laney came in and she was sick too. During the night I starting feeling sick. Nyah threw up the next morning. Then Zak got sick. When we all started feeling better my mom got sick and a little later my dad. Wendy got sick while she was in England and Quentin and Liam had been to the Dr.'s before they left to get anti-biotics for their sinus infection. The only one who never got it was Joshua!!! He was the picture of health the whole time....even though if he even coughed a little we all looked at him, ready to fetch a bucket for him.

New Year's Eve the kids got their own table with a table cloth to color on. I think more drawing took place than actually eating.
Wendy made this awesome chocolate mousse for our dessert.
Liam and Nyah smooching in the corner.
The kids also decided to decorate the lamp. Wendy and I decided that we conveniently weren't going to be around when it had to be cleaned.
At midnight the boys and the kids went out to light fireworks. Wendy and I decided (and later my mom) that upstairs in Zak's bed would be the perfect place to watch them. We also decided that we would practice our aim, since there was a bunch of snow on the roof conveniently within our reach. And conveniently our husband were more of less right below. We still need to practice our aim but found out that Ben and Quentin are REALLY good at aiming. Don't worry we brushed the snow off Zak's bed before we left and wiped up the floor.
 The boys and their toys.
Like I said there was a lot of iPod, iPhone and DS playing this Christmas. (and as Laney pointed out....she's boy trapped in this picture.)
We went for a nice little walk to get some energy out. And Zak was kind enough to hold his 'fuzzball' for much of the walk. Ü

December 2010

It kept snowing and snowing and snowing and snowing and ......
...snowing and snowing and....we were supposed to go to Denmark the first weekend in December for Erin's baptism but it was just snowing too much. We were so sad we couldn't make it!
Cute Laney is impossible to get in contact with when she starts reading. It's pretty cute.
This fuzzy picture was in an attempt to take a picture of Ben and the kids building their snowmen.
Laney's school put on a cute little Christmas concert.
Then we decided we needed to send out a Christmas card and desperately tried to take pictures of the kids. Ty got grumpy and cold, Laney smiled like a champ the whole time whilst holding Nyah and Nyah was oblivious to the whole thing.

This was the winner of all 3 kids together. Where's you Christmas you might wonder. "I never got one in the mail! For rude!" Yes, I know. I haven't gotten in the mail yet either....and it's now January 10th. BUT as soon as I get them, you will get one.

.....and then it snowed some more....
Aaaaww my 3 cute kids all looking at.....I don't know....probably Ty playing a game on Ben's iPod.
I decided that we should be friendly to our neighbors. I made some sugar cookies and then the kids helped decorate them. We then went around to our 6 immediate neighbors and handed them out. The first lady we went to gave the kids a giant chocolate bar each. The next neighbor looked so surprised and thanked us. The third neighbor thanked us and asked if that was what we normally did. The last couple of neighbors weren't home so we just left them on their doorstep. Then we went home. Suddenly all the neighbors came to our house with a ton of treats for us. It was so nice of them but I felt so bad. But man, did we get a TON of chocolate and cookies. WOW!!!
Here's our little Christmas tree. We went to my parents' house for Christmas and we just ran out of time, so we made do with this little tree.
Then Laney got glasses.....and she loves them!!
We did our "Christmas morning" on the 23rd. Ben had to work on the 23rd and then after work we drove to Frankfurt.
 The kids opening their stockings.
...and we opened the presents that we had here at home so we didn't have to drag them all up to Frankfurt just to turn around and take them back home.
And look at this beautiful sunrise on the morning of the 23rd.

Ketchup - Thanksgiving

Laney's class and 2 other classes did a little Thanksgiving celebration where they sang songs, recited some cute poems and then had a ton of food for everybody.

For Thanksgiving we went to Frankfurt to my mom and dad's house to celebrate Thanksgiving with them and make them a feast. The kids always love going to Mormor and Morfar's house. Always lots of fun things to do....fun family members, new toys, different movies.
Zak playing on my dad's new iPhone.
My dad, Zak and Ty looking and helping my dad play on his new iPhone.
Fun uncle Zak playing with Laney and Ty and working out at the same time.
Our Thanksgiving feast....that lasted for days...
 Sorry girls....he's taken!! Ü
My mom and dad decided to get their Christmas tree while we were there. Here we all are walking to the Christmas tree selling spot.
Nyah was nice and warm all bundled up in the stroller.
This is the place we bought the Christmas tree. While the fam was looking at trees, I decided to take pictures of the wall. The other lady who was looking at tree thought I was pretty weird I think....oh well.

Ben, Zak, Laney and Ty carrying the tree home. My dad is so happy he has a son and sons-in-law who can carry the tree home these days.Ü
Morfar always has fun projects for Ty to do with him. They are building a.....F-14763swfhasojlk....uh-huh that's right.
Mormor also has fun girly projects for her and Laney to do. They are making 2 cute little nisser as seen in the next picture.
We love going to Mormor and Morfar's house!!!
