Yesterday we went out to Antelope Island to see if we could see some buffalo and other animals. We stopped at the Fielding Garr Farm, which is from 1848, where there was some cool old farm equipment and this old truck that was awesome. I tried to get some pictures of the kids. I love this one of Laney. What a cutie!
Here's Ty looking at the truck. Handsome feller!
Just a cool tree that we found.
So we were walking on the beach and we found at least three separate tracks that looked like this. So we took a picture so we could look up when we came home so what kind of animal it was. We know what it was now. Do you?
We saw at least 20 buffalo pretty close up and we were really excited. We also saw an antelope and a couple of jackrabbits. When we drove over to Fielding Garr Farm we saw hundreds of buffalo up on the mountain side. If you click on the picture you can see a bunch of little black dots....that was only some of them. We couldn't drive any closer and we didn't want to walk because it had started snowing when we were throwing rocks at the beach. But it looked really cool to see all those buffalo from far away.

Oh that looks like a lot of fun!
Laney and Ty look so cute in all of those pics!!!
Those are great pictures of your kids! You guys do such fun things with your kids. I need to learn from you!
Wow,sikke nogle gode billeder af børnene, Nadja! Og hvor ser baggrunden til din side sød ud også.
Those are some great pictures! Was it a cougar? Or maybe a Ute... I cannot help but be a dork...but looks like another exciting adventure! I would be afraid the buffalo would stampede, or the cougar might come back.. that's why I am boring and no fun because I am too scared to do anything that might be scary...
It was coyote tracks. I'm glad it didn't walk by while we were there. YIKES!!!
Oh! I thought it was a bear track and I was hoping you hurried out of there! A coyote is pretty freaky too! Don't you love just to get out of the house for a while and go check out the cool things in nature?! Family adventures!
That looks so fun!
What a blast! How do you get to antelope island? By Grantsville, or by Ogden? Or neither? Those pics you took of the kids are so great! Coyote - yikeethe! Glad you just saw the tracks, and not the actual feet in the tracks!
Those pictures were CUTE!! But the animal track was freaky! WOO HOO!
Those are the cutest pictures of your kids, aww I love them, good job. It was probably fun to have them go to Antelope Island, we should have taken our kids there. Love the pictures. Love, Kally
The pics of your kids are AWESOME! Did you get a new camera? You don't need me to snap pics anymore. You've got it figured out, babe!
Hey Ben and Nadja,
Hi from Sydney, Australia! Thank you for the blog of your family. I love the black and white photos as well. I started my own blog as well even though I'm not much of a blogger. This is my attempt to catch up with old friends. So if you know any other RMs that I can catch up with, send me their links. I'm going through a nostalgic period of my life... Thanks for having a blog and help some old friends to see how you are doing.
Cheers,
Jean and Hsu family.
I think the thing is a oagsmd. Is that right?
Love,
Nate
