Tiff (my sister-in-law) went to the midnight release partyat Barnes and Noble for "Breaking Dawn". The fourth book in the "Twilight" Saga by Stephenie Meyer.

This is what the line looked like when we got there around 8:15pm. 3 hours and 45 minutes before the book was released. I couldn't fit the whole line in there. But I would think there was about 40-50 people there.

After a while this is what the line looked like behind us.

Our wristbands that we got at the door. The "A" means that we were in the first line....YAY!!

Lots of games going on to take up time before midnight. There was also a scavenger hunt where everybody was running around in the whole store looking for stuff. Lots of fun.

At 11:30pm, we could all start going outside to line up, in the order that we came.

Walking towards the door, we saw the stacks of Breaking Dawn books inside. The funniest was when the people up ahead could see them taking the boxes of books out and started screaming. And when the doors opened and everybody screamed again. Fun, fun.

It was so cool to see so many people at a bookstore at midnight. And about 5 clerks working in double time to get everybody through.

And here's Tiff and I with our books. Tiff asked a lady working there if she could take a picture for us, but she just glared at us and didn't say anything, so Tiff hurried and asked another lady.

Sounds like christmas time !
P.S. Still reading the book!
This was so much fun! Except for the hag who wouldn't take our picture....I'm pretty sure she was one employee who didn't want to be working this particular night! We must do this again...this was a lot more fun and exciting than I thought it would be. EDWARD CULLEN ALL THE WAY, BABY!! :)
That looks like fun! I want to party at a store until midnight!
That looks like so much fun, hanging out with the girls at midnight! I'm so glad you guys got to go, and would've loved to tag along, even though I haven't read the books yet! Excitement!!
P.S. I forgot to say how cute you and Tif look in your glasses together! I don't think I even knew you wore them, or at least I haven't seen them! I must live far away from you or something..
That is so weird.
So I'm still kicking myself for not trying to join you. It wouldn't have done me any good though because my pre-ordered book was waiting for me in Tooele. So I went to bed early and got my book the next day with no lines...and no fun to go along with it.
Boring!
I agree with Tiff......EC RULES! I love you, Edward.
Did you just wear glasses because you were going to a bookstore and wanted to look all learned and clever? ;-) I like those glasses though, don't think I've seen them before? They suit you.
I normally wear contacts, but I just recently got new glasses because I hated my other glasses. I could see weird rainbow things when I looked to the sides.
Anyway, I need to get these adjusted again 'cause they keep sliding down on my nose.
I think you guys are cute in your glasses. Joel says this is so gay, but everybodsy loves this book so I am going to start to read it. So I have read one chapter and everybody else is on book 4... Thanks for encouraging me to read its been a long time. :)
Oh my goodness! I seriously love that you did this. If only I was in Utah I would have been right in line with you! It actually came out in England too!! I have my copy and I'm taking my time reading it!
I went the the Midnight release party too! I met a couple of my friends there, got the book, chatted with a bunch of other Twilight groupies--it was such FUN! But we didn't take pictures...grrr... I shoulda thotta that.
