Halloween

I thought I was so creative when I made some decorations for our table. So before I start writing about the pictures I wanted to tell you what Ty said on Halloween morning. So I was opening the bags of candy for the trick-or-treaters and putting them in bowls, when Ty sees me and said "I have one of those?" pointing to the candy. I told him that it was for the trick-or-treaters who would be coming that night. I was expecting screaming, crying, tantrums but Ty just said "Oh" and ran off. A few seconds later he comes running back with his trick-or-treating bucket, holds it out and with a really naughty smile on his face said "trick-or-treat". Of course, I had to give that cute boy a piece of candy.
We carved our pumpkins the day before Halloween. Laney wouldn't touch the insides of hers but Ty on the other hand didn't mind scooping everything out.

The finished result. Mine is the ghost, Ty's is the spider, Laney's is the cat (obviously they had help...) and Ben thought we needed one traditional face one.The "trick or treaters". Ben had to be dressed up for work so he decided to be a pirate. Laney is a princess barbie with an itchy wig and Ty is an elephant. First they went around in our little sub-division with Laney's bbf Emmy, then they went over to my aunt and uncle's sub-division. Every time they came to a house where they could hear a dog barking Laney and Emmy decided that they didn't need to go to that house.... :)
On the way home Ty told Ben he was tired and so Ben picked him up and by the time the crossed the street Ty was asleep.

Laney enjoying her loot.

I loved Ty's question to you, they are so creative on what they say. They can come up with anything. Funny huh? The pumpkins are cute, we didn't get around to carving ours this year, still sitting out front. Also glad to have a picture of you Nadja, because if your like me we are usually behind the camera instead of in the picture. Good Job Ben to dress up. Laney is a cute little princess, and Ty is a cute little Elephant? Would he make a elephant noise? So cute.

Love the pumpkins! both the inside ones and outside ones. Ty cracks me up--smart boy! And Laney reminds me so much of Alyssa (will NOT touch the pumpkin guts, HATES bandaids, hides her owies...weird that they are so much alike). Cute costumes!

I love the halloween pics! It is so fun to dress up and carve pumpkins, and you guys look like pros at it! Darling costumes! I love your decorating, (and the cute hat you shared with us at girls night!)I love Ty's "trick-or-treating" to you in the morning. We apparently didn't teach Gavin correctly.. He went to the 1st house and just said, 'can I have some candy?' He picked up on the 'trick-or-treat' after that though!
