O Tannenbaum, O Tannenbaum...

We decided that we wanted a real christmas tree this year.....(jeg ved det, jeg ved det....hvorfor soren vil vi har et rigtig juletrae naar vi kunne faar et blaat, lyseroedt eller sort juletrae???) but we didn't know how to get it home.... So we went to Lowe's and found one that we loved and I kept asking Ben "but....how do we get it home?" So we tied it on the top of our handy dandy van and drove on the little back roads home. We had twine through the inside of the whole car and on the back the little Lowe's man and Ben decided that it was a great idea and very sturdy to tie it to the windshield wiper.....hmmmm. I told Ben when we got in the car, "you realize if we get in an accident that you will get scalped right?" So the whole drive home, we both sat kind of slouched down in our seats.....!!!

The finished result. The whole time Ben and I were putting it up, we kept saying "wow, this is really big". I don't think we realized when we bought it how big it exactly was....but we love it!!

Oh these pictures don't do it justice...it is magnificent! It is honestly the biggest, fullest tree I've ever seen - real OR fake! Oh how I wish it were fake so that I could buy its twin... :(

So did you have to kick the kids out on the back porch to make room for the tree? I'm mean, that's cool if you did, it's only for a month.
PS: I am jealous. There's nothing like the smell of a real Christmas tree.

Beautiful! I love it! Did the kids like decorating the whole thing, or did they get bored after a while? Most of mine like it for a while, then get bored and wander off....

Ha ha ha. That is funny to see a big tree strapped to your van! What in the twine tied to the windshield WIPER! How is that supposed to be sturdy?! I want to come see how magnificent it really is and to smell the REAL scent of Christmas!

Jeg synes I bare skulle have købt et traditionelt blåt plastictræ med lysfibre på grenene og så en air freshener der lugter af "jul" lol.

What a big beautiful tree! I'm glad you made it home without getting scalped too. Funny story! I would love to get a real tree one of these days too.. We've had the same old fake one since we've been married... I want to come smell your real one!

GORGEOUS! That thing is FULL... Nice! Did any critters jump out and run all over your living room afterwards? (I tell Brig stories every night at bedtime and his favorites ones have to do with squirrels jumping out from under the Christmas tree branches & racing all crazy thru the house! hee hee!)
