Saturday we decided to go for a little drive up the canyon. We went for a short hike up to a waterfall.

Laney hiking.

The beautiful waterfall.

My handsome husband, who will not pose for the camera, so I just have to take pictures when he doesn't know.

Me and the chickens.

Father and son looking at the waterfall. It was bright and we were getting a little water in our eyes from the fall - that's why Ty is looking funny.

Afterwards, we went down to temple quarry to eat our lunch.

We saw this tool that was stuck in the granite from the pioneers. Laney and I tried to pull it out, but it was VERY stuck.

We sat right by the river and ate our lunch. We sat under some trees and it was so nice and cool by the river. It's so amazing to see hoe much water comes down from the mountains. This was where I had my bridal pictures taken and there was no water when we took them. Amazing.

The kids had a lot of fun throwing rocks and branches in the water. When we were eating our lunch (medbragte klemmer) we saw some people who were getting married right above us. There is a little platform where you can walk out onto, and we had walked under it and sat by the river. And these people where getting married on that little platform. I tried to take a picture 'cause i thought it was pretty funny we sat there under them but the picture didn't turn out very good.

I love that pic of you and the kids. They both look like they're being squeezed to death but you look great. That looks like so much fun. Tell Ben not to be so bashful we all know he's dying to give up pharmacy and become a model!!
PS: Is Derek aware that the comment section on his blog doesn't work? Maybe that's why he never has any comments??? I know, I'm a genius.
Oh that looks like so much fun! Glad you guys got away for a little R&R! What a beautiful spot you went to, also.
I agree with that chick above me....Ben should be a model! You devil Benjerrrman, pose for Nadja this instant!
Deb, you always make me giggle! ANyway....What a nice day! I loved the pic of you and the chillens, and the waterfall, and the tool stuck in the rock, and all of them! I wish I were there with you! Poor Brenda is here where it is too hot to leave the dang house... How nice the shady canyon and waterfalls look!
That looks like a beautiful hike! I love a pretty hike--we found a really nice one at girl's camp last week. Your family looks awesome--the water looks so powerful.
That sounds like a fun trip!
