And then Laney turned 7!!

The little ice cream cones she handed out at school.
Her cake and ice cream party at home.
Look at those cheeks! Maybe she needs some helps with ALL those candles. :D
And opening all the presents. She was so spoiled.

Nyah clapping because it's Laney's birthday.

Ty made this cute poster for Laney. Our plan was to bring the poster, party hats, and party horns when she got off the bus and make her embarrassed, but our evil plan was spoiled when we stayed at the school for too long, helping hand out of the birthday treats and Laney just came home with us. Hmmm, maybe next year!! MUUUHAHAHAHA!!! :D

Så ta’ vi cyklerne frem…

One beautiful afternoon we decided to go for a bike ride. The weather has been so nice lately and perfect for biking.
We found a playground and stopped to play and eat some snacks and get a drink. This picture I just put on here because of Ty's long hair. He DID NOT want a haircut and so it just got longer and longer and longer. It wasn't because he liked having long hair, it was only because he doesn't like when the hair falls down his neck while he's getting the haircut. Finally one day I had had enough and just tackled him and cut it. :D
 Nyah sure enjoyed the swings.
 ...and a banana.
Ty doing some acrobatics on the tire swing.
And then it was Laney's turn.

A Side Note....

So I totally thought that nobody had been commenting on my posts for the last 5-6 posts and it made a little sad, but I thought, "well, at least people are looking at them". Well, when I logged in today to update I saw that there were 44 comments I needed to approve. WHAT?! I didn't know I had to approve them when I changed the settings....I just thought I set it so that I would get an e-mail about it. hahaha Anyway, thanks so much for all your comments and sorry I haven't responded to them.....I didn't know they were there....hahahaha

Pictures from my cell phone

Cute Nyah waiting for her turn in the tub...
I drove to Frankfurt to help out the parental units get their new house ready to move in to and this was the beautiful Frankfurt skyline at sunset. (I was sitting in a slooooow moving stau :D)
 Nyah after eating some spaghetti.
Ty decided to wear my Indiana Jones hat whilst walking Laney to the bus on his birthday. Why? No clue!
I know he's naked but he does a pretty good job at covering his goods so I had to put this picture on 'cause it makes me chuckle every time I see it. I mean, look at him!!! The kids play with these rubber duckies in the tub and when they forget to squeeze out the water when they are done, the next time there are little floaty yucky things in the ducks. Well, Ty had just squished one of the ducks and little floaties where floating around and he freaked out. hahaha
So when I was in Frankfurt helping out, my brother Zak's job was to paint the floor in one of the basement rooms and I jokingly told him not to paint himself in the corner. When he was all done he came upstairs and told me, "Well, I didn't paint myself in a corner, but I did paint my cell phone in a corner!!" hahaha It may not seem like such a big travesty but to a teenager with an active social life whose texting thumbs' muscles now are the size of his thighs???? Just kidding, Zak!! :D Love you.

Ty is 5!!!

Nyah in her party hat.
As usual Ty wants us to wear our party hats all day long. So him and I wore ours to pick up Laney and she was handed hers the moment she stepped off the bus. I really liked Ty's birthday though, because both Ty was just so happy all day long and Laney tried extra hard to nice to him so there were a minimal amount of fighting that day......aaaah if just one of them had a birthday every day!!! :D
But started off the day singing in his deep baritone opera voice "Haaaappy biiiirthday to meeeee, haaappy biiirthday to meeeee...." I don't think he got any further 'cause Ben and I busted up laughing and probably interrupted him.
Ty LOVES the movie 'Despicable Me' and he wanted a minion party. Well, I searched high and low. online and in stores, to find 'Despicable Me' party stuff. But alas it was not meant to be. So we improvised. We printed off pictures from the movie on the web and glued them on balloons, napkins and plates. Ty loved it.
Ben and I stayed up half the night the night before to make 'minion cupcakes' for Ty to bring to school. But an hour and half after I took him and cupcakes to school, they called and said that he couldn't pass them out 'cause they were homemade. (even though we asked the Friday before grrrrr) oh well....more cupcakes for us.

It's not easy to get all those candles when you get THIS old.
Ty was one spoiled kid and got so many wonderful birthday presents.
He got this cool bead thing from the Cullingfords. He is now mass producing little bead shapes!! :D

Regensburg

Two weeks ago we finally made it to Regensburg. It was a very nice city and we loved walking around, taking it easy and seeing all the sites.
Ty liked looking through his LEGO catalog....
....more than looking at this beautiful church. :D This Cathedral is a very interesting example of pure German Gothic.  It was founded in 1275 and completed in 1634, with the exception of the towers, which were finished in 1869.
Regensburg is the city where the Danube river and the Regen river meet and flow together.
Nyah getting teary eyed because it was a wee bit chilly.
This bridge, the Steinerne Brücke was built in 1135–1146 and crosses the Danube. This stone bridge opened major international trade routes between Northern Europe and Venice.

Ben, Laney and Nyah.

Some Randoms....

Poor little Nyah wasn't feeling too good and was snuggling with Ben.
Laney  made a goal to exercise every Saturday to my Jillian Michaels work-out DVD.
 She's a tough little thing.
But then we have to listen to her complain for the next week about how sore she is.....hahaha
So these little bee antennas were lying around and I put them on Nyah. I only told her once not to touch them and then she forgot about them. She was really cute just wearing those things all day....even eating her Mac 'n' cheese with them on.

Fasching.....or Mardi Gras

Laney had a Mardi Gras parade at her school in February. The theme was "Germany" and all the classes that to dress up as things from or about Germany
 Preztels
Nyah was REALLY excited about the whole thing....:D
One class were dressed up as Kindereggs.
One class celebrated the polar bear Knut....may he rest in peace.
Here's comes Laney's class. Their theme was "Germany's place in the universe".
Cute Laney decorated with planets and aliens.
 Edelweiss
I don't remember what this class were, they just looked so cute. hahaha
And this class celebrated the Chimney Sweepers in Germany. :D
Ty and I loved the parade and Ty made off with a lot of candy!!
