Our landlady had given us several brochures of interesting stuff to see in the area and one of them was of a dinoaur park in the city of Porec. The kids REALLy wanted to go and since Friday was our last day we decided to go. We drove the hour to get there and unpacked all our junk and got ready to go in. This lady walked past us and then kinda stopped and just stood there for a minute. Then she asked if we spoke German. I said a little and then she started telling us about how incredibly expensive it was to get into the Dinosaur park and how it was really lame and totally not worth it. She gave us her receipt and said that we could try to get in with it if we wanted to, but it really wasn't worth it to spend all that money to get in. We debated back and forth if we should go in, looked at the map over the park, looked at how much it was to get in and then talked to the kids. We decided not to go in but to let the kids pick out a toy somewhere else instead and then go to the beach to swim instead. We found a really crowded beach in Porec and swam for a while. We bought the kids some of those floaty things to put around their bellies so they could practice swimming. I also convinced Ben to buy a baby floaty thing so we could take Nyah out in the water a little easier. We should have done that from day 1. We were kicking ourselves. The kids loved the floatys and were 'swimming' all around. Nyah was a little scared at first but after she saw Ty and he made me laugh she loved being in the water too.
But since there were so many people we decided to go back to our favorite beach at Kumenjak.
Ben swimming with the kids.
Laney told us she was 'taking some time off'.
...and Ty 'taking some time off'.
Our favorite spot at Kumenjak. We drove back to Salzburg the next day and we were all in our shorts, t-shirts, and flip flops. When we stepped out of the car to eat dinner and get to our hotel we nearly froze our little booties off. It was frigid. We all ran inside and did jumping jacks to get warm again. Brrrrrrr

This looks like such fun! Are the seasons at the same time there as they are here? And, when is the school 'year'?
