Before we even left on our vacation, my dad had found out that there was going to be an old steam engine stopping in the little town that we were staying in. The kids were really excited to see it. When Ty saw this picture he asked me what he was doing. "Son....I don't know. I was going to ask you the same question!"
My dad made sure the kids got to see the....(Ben and I have discussed what the place is called where the conductor is and.....we don't know, even though Ben had some interesting ideas.) But anyways, the kids got to see that place where the conductor drives the train.
Laney happy as a clam.
Zak luckily climbed up there with them and explained things to them and showed them stuff. Thanks for educating my kids, Zakschen!
The happy train riders getting ready to leave.
Inside the train.
And off they went. Nyah and I waved goodbye to them with our handkerchiefs, shed a little tear, and hurried over to the car to try and beat them to Daun where we had to pick them up again.
After we picked them up, we drove to a little town called Wallenborn to see a cold water geyser. After we parked the car, Ty started picking up the pebbles in the parking lot. He came over to me and showed me what he had made and told him it was for me 'cause he loves me. Aaaaww He IS my favoritest boy!!
The geyser starting to bubble and gurgle.
Here it comes, here it comes.
It happened so suddenly that I accidentally cut off the top of the geyser in the picture, but it was very pretty.
Ty and Laney inching forward toward the geyser and into the water that was spilling unto the ground.
My dad had read about a field were you could look for fossils. It sounded really interesting and fun, but he unfortunately forgot to bring the book that explained how to get to the right field, so we drove around a little, found a field we thought it might be, and the kids, Zak and Ben started digging.
Nyah pitched in with the digging as well. They had fun and it kept them occupied for a long time so it was great.
...but wait, there's more! Come back tomorrow to read about day 4, 5 and maybe even day 6 (If I have time :D)

jeg kneb næsten en lille tåre, da jeg så billedet med 'hjrtestenene' - det var da originalt og meget innovativt! Ser ud tila ti virkelig får en på opleveren!
